Too Much Fun

Can I tell you how much fun it is to change the oil/oil filter, service the air filter, and clean and lube the chain on the NSC when all you have to secure the bike is an abba floor stand? IT'S NOT! 😣

Then after cleaning up and putting everything away, I get to drive to the auto parts store to recycle the used oil and filter.

You have a choice to avoid all of it too and have a good break relaxing your buttocks & bollocks, have a coffee, smoke your cigar or a joint & chat up the mechanic :p

The stand is fine, it's just doing all the work from the floor that sucks.
Gotta step up and get the skylift then!

you can probably get a cheap lift table and use the abba stand on that table...

I just don't have enough room in the garage.
Removing the airbox was not as difficult the second time around. Also, I applied petroleum jelly to the airbox tabs/slots, and to the air duct joints for easier assembly.

Something you could try to build :D

There are some links in the description for different lift & table sizes

Why put your bike on an Abba stand to change oil and air filter?

Because lifting the rear helps drain more oil, plus you have to remove the filter from the kickstand side so it helps when the bike is upright.

Wait what filter have I been removing from the non-kickstand side of the bike?

My last reply was about the air filter
I have an Abba stand, didn't use for the oil and filter change tho. Let it stand after the majority was out then held it level for a minute or 2.

While the oil is draining I'm performing other maintenance.
