Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with aftermarket suspension for the 21 onwards bike? I have been recommended Nitron but would like other people's opinion on other brands as well. Also wondering if a shock swap from a Blade will help? For reference, I have the set up adjusted for the 80kg weight bracket. I found the rear abit too bouncy and the front perfect. Happy to hear any input about fine tuning the rear as well.

Shock mods transform the bike.
Nitron shocks; why not?

Wouldn't attempt the mod before I have exhausted the prehistoric
settings that the CB1000R comes with.

For the last decade we used a smartphone app tapping on icons to dial the shock setup.

On the CB1000R it is back to screwdriver and adapted tools from last century.
Pencil the settings on a piece of paper, go riding
crouch to fine tune ... go again.

The table is a frame reference to go back to
when you lost the paper where the new settings are.

No scripture,
as there are no standard roads and no standard styles of riding.

Bouncy?

One more click of preload, or one less.
A tad rebound damping.
A tad ... like a quarter turn.

Also
Done by an experienced mechanic, note that it covers dialing other fork settings too!
Much cheaper than buying new shocks,
gives often stunning improvement.
