Houston, we have a problem.

A CB1000R is no over the hill 5 years old wannabe racebike.

A CB1000R, modest placid trundler in black lace,
no butt jewellery, no geezermobile, no squid zoomster,
just a normal plain Jane but well turned bike.
Why bother with a space grade battery?
Plenty good enuff this,

Why buy a dozen, when two are already good to run the CB1000R

Still no starting problems. Push of the button in -2. This bike has had the works done on it. Even a ecu and lockset replacement to rule out hiss and other things. The battery is the only thing that seems to be working. Tried the lithium route with a few different batteries in the past. I just think it's manufactured with a battery that has an amperage just on limits with a brand new engine in the factory and after a few years components and engine wear with time and build up more of a resistance and extra energy to turn. Just need that little bit extra that it just can't get to run all components at the same time.

That's a nice theory but it's BS. Plenty of Hondas with tons of age and mileage still start with factory spec batteries.
