It's a shame Honda didn't keep the Hornet name as this one looks more like a Hornet than the Hornet. I guess I just like the sound of the name "Hornet" over that of "CB 1000r".

I think people will be torn over Hornet/CB1000R, when Honda release the 900 Hornet in the US and called it the 919 I preferred that....

Even the little "919" sticker looked cooler in my opinion.

I find a good way to guage what works best is to speak to non-bikers.... in the past when saying "I have a Hornet" they've always looked confused... however say you have a FZ1 or a CB1000R (that R bit is crucial, most people assume that to mean RACING) then they look far more impressed :lol

Moreover, Honda are kings of marketing - they know exactly what works and what doesn't and I feel they are looking to move away from the image left with the 900 Hornet (accomplished but rather uninspiring for some).
