Hi Guys, i sincerely apologise if this has been covered any where else on the site but i must ask....

For a while now ive been thinking how good Braided Hoses (the ones at the Engine, not Brakes) would look on my CB1R, & tonight while Surfing through the Site ive spotted them on the XESS Bike :love

Does anyone know where to Buy these, or would i need to have them 'made up'?

I love that bike. I would crawl over hot coals for it and sleep next to it under the stars every night :love

The HEL hoses were for the brakes not the engine, still not developed properly from what was posted.

PS- How do you get a coloured chain?

OIC, I didn't realise you meant those lines, sorry :banghead I know you said it, I'm scan reading to the max at the moment cos I'm too ill to read things properly. Probably not a good thing when I'm reading instructions on medication eh? :lol

I think a few manufacturers do coloured chains now, don't they?

I've looked for braided coolant hoses in the past, and, to my knowledge, nobody makes them. You can get braided oil lines that you see on many Bandit streetfighters, but not ones for water/coolant.

My guess is that they've used overbraiding, which is available from BSR/Aerotek (bsr-aerotek.com) and slides over the standard hoses. It's then held in place with anodised hose finishers which have a hidden jubilee clip inside to hold the original hose on. I've thought about using it myself, I'm sure it would look great, but I can't be arsed to undo all the hoses and drain the coolant system in this weather!

Hope that helps.

Actually, Red, I think it looks better in the photos. Seeing it at the NEC was a bit of a let-down, the quality of the finish wasn't as good as I expected. That being said, some of the ideas on the bike are really good and I think it's a challenge to the rest of us to turn the CB into something original!
