1 - Go into your phone settings and enable developer mode to install APK's directly from file.
2 - Go to site Honda RoadSync Download Free and download APK to your phone. Search the file and install it.
3 - Enable BT on your phone and on your 2021 Honda CB1000R dashboard & pair it.

thanks for figuring this out, I was disappointed when I saw this was unavailable in Canada
Does yours still work ? After I installed the app when it gets to the permissions part I click ok and the app shuts down every time.

Un-install the app and try again, I have not had any issues with it. It works perfectly fine for me. I am using a Pixel 5, android version 11.
Is that the same app that is available at the Play Store: Honda RoadSync - Calls, messages, and more - Apps on Google Play
Yes it is the same APK file. You have to side load & install it. Find out how to unlock developer option on your android device , before you can install it. - Cheers

I tried it again with no success, I`m running an older samsung with version 8 maybe thats the issue, unfortunately work funds my phone so I don`t know if this will qualify me for an upgrade or not lol. Maybe I`ll find a buddy with an newer version and try it on his phone and see if I can get it to go, this is one of the features I was looking forward to having! What is the legal reasoning for us not to have access to this function???

I doubt it has anything to do with any law, probably more to do with $$$

You can shoot an email to: [email protected] and see if they'll reply.

If the feature is there, and an app already exists but some coding prevents it from operating I don`t know what kind of money they are saving, maybe it has something to do with being able to text and ride at the same time or something along those lines, but I don`t know.

Obviously Honda hates North Americans

It could be licensing fees or something along those lines.

haha, I didn`t think anyone hates us Canadians! but yeah I never thought of the licensing aspect, sounds very plausible.

I did write to them and ask about it.
Hi Guy,

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Upon checking, your device is not listed in our unsupported list so it should be supported. May I know from where country are you currently located? As of the moment, these are the countries that are supported Czech, France, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand and United Kingdom.

Looking forward for your response.

Best,
Jed
@Otown When you say, "it didn't work" what exactly did it do? I had trouble launching at first because I only gave permissions for location when the app was active. Once I changed that permission to "always" then it worked and launched. Of course, my bike is a 2019, so pairing was...difficult :p

I click on all the permissions and say allow, then the final one I click allow and the app says "app has stopped" and it closes.

Try this link ->> Honda RoadSync - Calls, Messages, And More 21.05.A Apk Download - com.honda.ms.dm.sab APK free
I have found out that the minimum requirement for your Android version should be Android 9.0 ( Pie)

Here are links to diff older app versions.

4th row in screen shot says Version 9.0 Android.

For those on apple devices, I got this working using the following steps:
1. Create gmail account and select UK as country
2. Create new Apple ID account and select UK as region (using the UK gmail you just created). You can use your NA phone number when adding contact details
3. Go into the App Store scroll to the bottom to log out of your NA account.
4. Log in using your UK Apple ID
5. Search and download the RoadSync app
6. (this part sucks hard) go back into settings, select your name and log out of your Apple ID. You’ll be asked a bunch of questions about deleting or keeping local copy of your iCloud data. I selected no, but I don’t think it matters.
7. Go into RoadSync app and select “log in with Apple ID”. You’re now set! You just need to get back into your NA Apple ID.
8. Go back into setting and log out of UK Apple ID and log into your NA one.
9. You’ll have to re-add all your Apple Pay cards again
10. Enjoy RoadSync!

I get everything working except turn by turn navigation on the TFT display (audio works). In the RoadSync page from Honda it says it doesn’t support it, but I remember reading some early literature that said it was supported.

Has anyone ever get the navigation to show on the display?

I don't believe it's supported in the US
I don't think NA honda firmware support this applicaiton.
