Hi all!

My name is Ross and I'm new here, hoping for some advice. I'm looking at a 2008 CB1000R with high mileage: 50,000kms. Looks to be in good condition and I'll do a closer inspection, but curious if anyone can share high mileage CB1000R specific advice? Mostly I'll be riding here in Japan, 80kms to beach on weekends and a few multi-day camping trips with my partner.

Also any comparisons to the NC750? I had one for a while and liked it though it felt lacking character. Much appreciated.

rrhmart, I put 113,000 kms on my 2012 before totalling it against a deer. it was nearly problem free: the rubber bushings that support the headlamp assembly wore out... and - oddly - shortly before the crash, I discovered cracks in my front brake rotors and replaced them. they had had pretty hard use, cuz I used to take the bike out on track days. aside from that, it always ran perfectly. 50,000 kms is just getting broken in, if it's been well maintained.

it has, as you might suspect, MUCH more character than the NC750!
