Any of you northern members fancy a ride out and show me some nice roads up in the Lakes for a few hours, or just meet to take the piss out of my bike stickers?

Towing the bike up there for the week and staying near Bassenthwaite (Skidaw).

I'll bring a rope in case I break down!

I get there with Mrs Gamekeeper on 11th, so any time between Tues 12th and Friday 15th.

I promise to wait at the T junctions for you :smoke

Mate I'd love to but I'll be working....BUT...as I'm a big walker/cyclist I have just the route you should take on the bike. It takes in all the Lakeland passes in a day, 100mile route, its a beauty.

The route is part of the cycle event called "The Fred Whitton Challenge". Its by far the hardest cycle event in the UK for ameture like myself, check out the route..

The passes are Kirkstone, Dockray, Seatoller, Honister, Whinlatter, Hardknot and Wyrnose passes. Hardknot is the steapest road in the UK...

Enjoy....

Come to think of it. If I can get some time off I think I may meet you up there. I'll PM you if I can get the time off.
