Has anyone installed the mccruise cruise control on their NSC? The system looks good but the button arrangement looks clunky. I do like how up front the company is about the bar button placement.

The guys at McCruise fitted to my 2018 CB1000R and the result is fantastic. Holds speed to 2 Km per hr Up or Down hills. Makes riding long or short distance a pleasure with no more aching throttle hand. No more tingling fingers or pain in wrists. Cruise control is a no brainer and I wish I had come to these guys years ago for the real deal. I have tried all sorts of cheap and nasty devices which wasted my time and Money. Mc Cruise is the real deal and Instructions and parts are top quality. Service and helpful business where satisfaction is part of the deal. Thank you gents for perfect cruise control and fabulous service

Not seen anybody comment on it here on the forum but the guy in this review seemed to really like it.
Personally I think a cruise control is a great idea.

Having installed a Rostra cc on my former C14, I'm interested in this set up for my CB. Would like to locate an OEM Honda switch gear with the cc switches integrated. Might have to be the right side switch. Guess it depends what's in the McCruise switches.

moving some posts into this one.. seems appropriate..

the MCCruise buttons do seem clunky..
the slim switch won't fit between switchblock and lever clamp with my Pazzo levers so....

I'd prefer an OEM switchblock with extra buttons... preferably LHS, but that's made more difficult by the CB's buttons on that side.

Someone has already changed VFR1200X switchblocks to ones from an Africa Twin (2019+?), and using the DCT buttons on RHS switchblock to control the aftermarket cruise (not MC)

Clearances
stock 2018 CB1000R switchblock clearance.
RHS= 30mm from throttle tube plastic. Probably 15mm clearance to tank

LHS from bar metal =37mm, with about 12-13mm clearance to tank

Options from Africa twin look like:

2020 CRF1000L non-DCT with cruise. The ACC/DEC paddle button seems OK
This is TBW, and may accept the CB APS sensor

This one is cable throttle unfortunately (2018?), but the big DCT select switch would be nice and tactile for cruise.

2019 DCT non-cruise, not too bad, vertical rocker also tactile, and doesn't take up too much space before the bar.
is is TBW, and with some luck the CB throttle sensor (APS) will fit

another option is Honda Rebel 202 with DCT
has both DCT and cruise buttons

Another option is to mount the slim MC switch inboard of the lever mount.
Then repurpose the "torque control" button at front of LHS block as a parallel "Set/Acc" button.

Less convenient than full OEM, but easier to use 80% of the time...

Install video

printed a slim switch from specs provided.. will need to shave the sides down a little to fit there, as Pazzo lever curves in a bit early.
parallel switching is possible. Ideally need to get OEM plugs to make additional piggyback loom.

reallllly tight fit under the switchblock.. only 2mm clearance on LH full lock, not including required bracket.... not sure if feasible

Photo from MCCruise how both the switchblock and the lever clamp both curve in at the bottom..
But shaving down the sides of the switch is OK.

Looks like 100% OEM quality, the Slim switch has great tactile feedback (and height) and buttons are far enough apart for gloves
Switch and ECU are fully potted (ECU feels heavy :) )
Documentation is extensive, ~128 printed pages
Super happy so far :)

EDIT: actually, this is BETTER than OEM... Honda doesn't use sealed or potted switches in the handlebar switchblocks, so MCCruise is much better quality in that respect... :)
The only non-sealed plug is the 6pin under the pillion seat, and you could easily swap that for an AMP/weatherpack/sealed plug if one wished
