What options are you guys using for securing your bikes, given that most chain locks do not fit through the spokes on the new CB1000R Black Edition?
Cheers.

I don't know about Canada, but the only secure place to keep a bike in the USA is a garage that only the owner has access to.

Truth is you can only protect it from casual theft - the dedicated thief is taking the bike regardless.

I use a half decent disk lock on the front, and a small chain through the rear. I have a monimoto tracker stashed in the bike bodywork also.

That stops it being rolled away with no effort, for more than this I have insurance.

If you don't have somewhere secure to store overnight I would be more concerned!

Hidden gps tracker. Locks are for keeping honest people honest. A lock won't stop a thief, just slow them a bit. A tracker will take the police to their doorstep and give you a chance at recovering your bike before it gets chopped

Thieves broke down my garage door took my MV.
Chopped it up in some tenement basement where 3 weeks later the plod recovered it.
Tire Wheel Automotive tire Motor vehicle Vehicle

Went to the dealer an asked for any vehicle he had
that no one would covet and try to steal.

He had some Beemer but even if lowlifes aren't low enough to pilfer that,
people still throw stones at it in the villages.

He had this black CB1000R and told me:
"Park it next to a motorcycle. Your Honda won't get stolen."

'twas last month :)

Odd but true.

It's a gorgeous motorcycle, but not popular with thieves haha
