Sounds good, we shall have to do that soon, when the weather gets better again eh? Are you offering to arrange it George? :thumbup

Re: Nottinghamshire Meet/Rideout

Reet..........I know a good route but will have to check the miles and time and modify it to suite those that have to travel to get there. Will check it out and then suggest some dates..... Starting at the Whistle Stop pub, Tallington near Stamford. Malc and I can get there in about 5 - 10 mins but would probably take Ant, Blackadder and Haystack about 1 -1/2 hours.

Petrol station directly opposite, location here :http://www.multimap.com/maps/?qs=tallington&countryCode=GB&mapType=&overview=

right next to the railway line.

Re: Nottinghamshire Meet/Rideout

Hour and twenty according to Google Maps (can't get on with Multimap :banghead )

I'm up for that, as long as it's a convenient day. If anyone wants to head down from up here we could meet at The Hutt seeing as how we all know it and ride down together. The Google approved route is this one which takes us down some fast roads, but not necessarily great roads. Look anything like the route you take to get up here Bilbo?

(Me being me, this is the route I'd probably take though cos those roads I've detoured onto up our end are a lot of fun. Only adds an estimated 15mins to the journey at that! :thumbup)

Yes Tally's only ten min's (if that) from me.

Ant, your preffered route is pretty close to mine coming out to you.
(I can give you a minor detour this end which you will enjoy :evil )

Hi Fenboy, good to see you about :thumbup

Psst..............anyone know how to get google maps to work?

I plan a route, save it all nice looking with blue lines and all, look at it later and it's all gone :(

WAFN, there must be a easier way to produce a map that peeps can see and print off. :sick

Once you've got it all nice and liney, click the Link To This Page link and copy the code in the top box. That link has all the info in it needed to recreate the map exactly as you see it.

I will look into enabling the maps into the forum, shouldn't be too hard :thumbup

Tried all that m'larky Ant, it just shows the map without any lines on it or placemarkers, tried it in firefox, IE :stop and safari

in the firefox error console I get messages like this:

Warning: Unknown property 'bgcolor'. Declaration dropped.
Source File: https://www.google.com/accounts/Service ... 1208554935
Line: 5

Warning: Expected end of value for property but found '10'. Error in parsing value for property 'padding'. Declaration dropped.
Source File: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&mid=1208554935
Line: 1

Warning: Expected ',' or '{' but found '*'. Ruleset ignored due to bad selector.
Source File: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&mid=1208554935
Line: 1

get about 11 various errors on each attempt. Bugger!

worked round it by copying like Antnee said and saving it in notepad for later use, You would think that by logging in and selecting "My Maps" you would be able to go straight to it............no chance.

At least I know it works now so I can get on and share a couple of routes with you guys. :thumbup

Quite like both of them George. The first one serves to remind me that you guys aren't actually all that far out from here; we often go for trips out to areas covered by that route :thumbup

I'd certainly be up for either one of them. Will you be making this an open meet for anyone or just for HondaCB1000R.com and BikeHackers.com members? I wonder if you can guess where I'm going with that one :p
