Did anyone see the MotoGP at Le Mans? What a day!
Congratulations to Bradley Smith in the 125s; if it hadn't rained then he would most likely have got nowhere near the second place that he eventually ended up with. Kudos to the kid for that. Shame he pretty much sucked otherwise
The 250s were crazy. Debon disappeared into the distance on his slicks, but Pasini, as the only other rider on slicks, couldn't match it. There was some great racing though as all these different combinations of tyres and setups all competed in the rapidly changing circumstances.
The 800s were great though. It was good to see Rossi get his first win in 6 months a couple of weeks ago at Shanghai, but then he went and made it look easy in Le Mans, at times being as much as 10 seconds ahead of second place; Jorge Lorenzo. Third? Colin Edwards! Great performance by the Texan. Shame that the only Yam that didn't get on the podium was James Toseland, who crashed early when he tried to go under Dovizioso who clipped JT's front and sent him into the gravel. No matter how you look at it it was JTs fault.
Rossi equally Angel Nieto's record of 90 GP wins, and the old geezer was out there to pick Rossi up and bring him back round to the pits; brilliant! Can Rossi get to Ago's 122 wins now? It seems perfectly possible, but 32 more wins is going to take a few years; has he got the patience now?
Can't wait for the next race :thumbup
