As you have probably seen it is possible to embed video, images, links/URL's etc... but each type is slightly different so I thought the following might help.
To embed these into your messages you use the BBCodes that are shown above the posting window where you type your message.
IMAGES AND FILES
The easiest way to add these is to attach them to your message. When you post a new message you can browse for a file... also you can choose to add it "inline"... this will add a smaller version of the picture than can be zoomed to full size by the reader.
If you want to link to an Image, that is somewhere else on the internet and then display it in you message, simply use the Img BBcode, so for example:-
gets you:-

LINKS/URL'S
If you want to link to a website or file then you use the URL BBcode, so for example:-
gets you:-

VIDEO
We currently support YouTube, Daily Motion, Google, Animoto and Vimeo Video's at the moment
Animoto is not a video sharing service like YouTube but it allows you to create some nice video type slideshows with music.
First then - YOUTUBE:
Use the YouTube BBcode and copy the full URL/Link for the video from the Youtube website. It is worth noting that if you have a regional URL... for example "uk.youtube......." you may need to change it to be "www.youtube......" otherwise your video may not work.
gets you:
GOOGLE VIDEO:
Use the GoogleVid BBcode for Google Video, however unlike YouTube you only need to paste in the unique video reference number.

DAILY MOTION:
Daily Motion video's can be embedded in three different size, simply choose the correct BBcode. Copy the DailyMotion video reference into the BBCode (the video reference is shown in the video permalink, for example x3qswz but do not include the description at the end of the permalink URL).

VIMEO:
Use the Vimeo clipnumber for Vimeo Video, however unlike YouTube you only need to paste in the unique video reference number.

ANIMOTO:
Sign up to a free Animoto account and you can creat free video shorts (or pay for longer ones). After creating a video choose the Post Online option and copy just the "W.................." reference code from the HTML code that is generated for you. Disregard the W and paste just the number into the Animoto BBcode
