I've just found this on MCN's website:
As previously expected, Honda will be offering this electronic ABS/CBS system on its sports bikes within the next couple of years. MCN are testing the bike today to see if it's any good. Apparently there are electronics which apply the brakes as required, rather than the current hydraulic system.
MCN's website says "The prototype CBR600RR is the first ever supersports motorcycle to feature the ABS that it plans to roll out across all its production machines within the next two years." So maybe the CB1000R will be updated in a couple of years to get this as opposed to the current ABS/CBS system?
Personally I'm loving the matt black CBR600RR :thumbup
