Was wondering whether anyone could shed any light on this; my HISS light no longer flashes. I've tried the procedure in the handbook where you hold the left hand button on the dash down whilst the ignition is turned on and it doesn't work. When I turn the ignition on the light comes on then goes out but it doesn't flash every 2 seconds as described in the handbook.
I pretty sure that it worked before it had a new tank and sump fitted a few weeks ago but I haven't ridden it since then as I've been away with work. Got it out on Wednesday and noticed it.
I've spoken with the dealer who replaced the tank and he talked me through a number of switching stuff on and off again but still nothing.

Ideas?

Nice one Jon. Thanks.

So if your HISS light isn't flashing when the ignition is off - turn the ignition on, scroll through until the TOTAL MILEAGE is displayed on the odometer then press and hold the left button on the dash for a couple of seconds until the HISS light flashes. Release the button and turn the ignition off. Hey Presto! Light flashes every 2 seconds.

Simples :thumbup :rolleyes1

Had exactly the same problem.......bought my bike used earlier this year and realised after about a week that the HISS light wasn't working :thumbdown . After trying numerous things with no joy I decided to take it to my local Honda dealer. The sales guy and the techie/mechanic couldn't get it working either, was advised by them to book it in and it would proberly have the clocks replaced while it was still under warranty. Didn't fancy the idea of that so decided that I could live with it......

So many thanks to this post and Jon of course :respekt cos I've now sussed it and got it working.

Thinking of telling them how to do it and looking all smug at the time :taunt .

I know this is an ancient post, but just wanted to say thanks for this! I bought this used and spoke to a dealer who thought maybe HISS wasn't working and I was expecting a bill for repair when I took it in. Glad I found this forum as no need to take it into them now!
