Morning all,

I'm Steven.
Been and ordered a new CB1000R yesterday, and can't wait for it to get here.
Had a NC700S as my first bike, kept it from new for 8 years until I had a SMIDSY in March last year and they wrote if off. Stayed away from bikes last year while my foot was healing, and although it's not 100%, it now feels ready to ride.
Have been down to Spain, France, Belgium on the NC, covered about 54k on it before its demise, so looking forward to racking the miles up on the CB.

Welcome Steven. You'll find the CB1000R even easier to rack up big miles on than your NC. Faster travel = shorter time, eh? :D (y)

It would be, but I'm getting married this year and she doesn't like motorcycles(likes them even less after my off), so less likely to have as much time to swan off to Spain or France :ROFLMAO:

Contemplating replacing @KreativeKreature with a better user :p
I am just having fun :p wanted to see @Bevo lectures on tail tidy.
To each one, it is their choice of keeping it stock or replacing it with a tail tidy.
IDK @Otown view on a tail tidy, but I think, just maybe he took his off for track racing.:unsure:
My view is the same as @Bevo, but Idk to lecture like him lol. The stock rear does not help much, but it still does protect the slush from rising up a little.

Hadn't planned on it at this stage. Have already gone and spent more than I should have on some new clothing and helmet 🤣
Don't plan on it Steven. With UK weather it is better to stay stock & save your sterling. I was just asking because a lot of folks from the UK have it on their to do wish list. Also you will need to save some for your marriage & homey moon , or else you will be stuck with a bike & no woman lol
