Hello there

This is Roberto from Genova, Italy

My order was placed 10 days ago, I'm waiting for delivery.
Official info from Honda Italia predicts delivery at end of May. My dealer more cautiously speaks about beginning of June.
I should be one of the first 999 buyers who will get the special gadget box: a custom rear wheeel stand, a logo for the top fork plate (sorry, I don't know the proper term in English), a key-ring.

I first ordered it "Dragon Green Metallic, but the I came at home. My wife could do nothing to cancel the order, but won the color struggle. The day after I had to call and chenge into Black. Maybe she was right .....

Ha ha, :welcome Roby. Sounds like you guys on the continent get the bike before us here in the UK; we're not expecting it until July but we may be lucky.

I like the sounds of these extras you get, very good! Oh, the top fork plate would be called the top clamp or yoke, most commonly called a yoke in English (not to be confused with the yellow bit of an egg, pronounced the same but spelt yolk... stupid language eh? :lol)

Anyway, welcome again, and nice choice on the colour. I wish I could make my mind up which one I want :banghead

Thank you for language tips, too ;)

No, I don't think it's a stupid language. Even with my poor mastering of English I can tell for sure that Italian contains much much more exceptions tan English
(by the way I know egg-world terms as few as motorcylcle part names :taunt2 )

I'll stay in touch

:welcome Roby as Steve (Fordzoid) said... it is great to have another international member.

And the special gifts sound brilliant... Honda really seems to look after you guys on the continent.... In the UK the first 100 owners will probably get limited edition chopsticks or something :lol

You must be really excited about getting the bike... black is a good colour (I have a black Yamaha FZ1-N).

I hope you enjoy the site and will be able to help us build a fantastic online community for all CB1000R owners. :thumbup

A chop stick is actually an oriental thing; you know those sticks that they use to eat where we'd use a knife and fork? They're chopsticks.

Don't worry, your English is a lot better than our Italian, I'm sure :lol
