Hi, I'm the grinning owner of a Fazer 600 and a CG125. I'm Farjo on the old board and foc-u.

Not after a naked bike and found that the smaller the bike the funner the experience - I'm only here to nosy around your new home. And very nice it is too :D

It would've been. The guy who owns that domain had predicted the bike would be the CB1000F (as most of us did) and bought that domain ages ago. When they announced the bike as an R instead he went off and picked up those domains as well. It was free when I started the process to buy it up myself and gone by the time I came to finish. Beat me my minutes/seconds. Oh well. I think we'll be first to open our doors though :D

I wish him well with his new site... the CBF1000 site seems to be quite well attended... I'm not keen on his chosen messageboard or the fact there are ad's etc.... but as an area of interest the CB1000R is broad enough to provide plenty of clubs with scope to grow. I certainly don't consider us as competitors in anyway.

In the same way as Bikehackers, FOC-U, Scratchin the Surface and even to an extent the Hornets Nest have complimented one another I see clubs like our own or CB1000R.com doing much the same... I'm sure we will all offer something a little different, the true beneficiaries being our members (and thats the way a bike club should be).

As of our date of Go Live however, we have a wicked board with loads of cool features... a Wiki and Gallery that are being implemented at this very moment, significant discount schemes agreed with key retailers and a potential new membership of hundreds if not thousands.

Thanks for adding us to Wiki Frazer... I can't see it there but no doubt it will show up.

It's fine that we are not showing on Google etc yet... we specifically wanted to keep things to ourselves... but once the board gets going (as well as the search bots) we should feature well... probably loads of other stuff we can do too.... (ahem.... SeeBeeThou...) :)

On the address... I gotta say I prefer HondaCB1000r.com certainly less vague...although the other one would have been more simplier.

One reason that the site isn't indexed by Google yet is that it's not publicly visible, but that will change soon.

My concern about CB1000R.com is that the domain owner admits that he has no interest in the bike; it doesn't have suitable wind protection for him. As much as I wish him well with his site, I don't think that he's running the site for the right reason. Seems to be all about making money for him, whereas we're all about having fun and a laugh and we also want to pass on any money that any sponsors will donate in the form of discounts instead

Oh, I wrote that original Wiki article, someone cleared it up and removed the Hornet's as related bikes and added the CBR instead. Dunno why. Anyway, I put them back. Any changes should be immediate so I suspect that maybe the change didn't save or someone has reverted it already
