Yeah hi all, was great to find this site. I'm pretty keen to check out the new cb when it becomes available in Australia in the second half of this year (rumored July here). I like most of what I see on it, so we will just have to wait and see.

Currently riding a hornet900 with jardine's, K&N Filter, LED taillight, fender eliminator, aftermarket racing style footpegs, Pirelli Diablo Super Corsa's and a few other changes.

Bought the Hornet as I really like the naked look and the missus wont ride on a full blown sportsbike. It's a comprimise as I do track days once a month and it's not the fastest thing in the straights but does surprise quite a few at what it can do. Cornering clearance is an issue as it drags the gear lever/ side stand / rear brake lever and the pegs very easily on the track especially with the super corsa's.

Been riding since about 1990 and owned a few different bikes. A bit of a nutter, love knee down riding and racing. Big Moto GP / Superbike racing fan. Attend Phillip Island every year for the GP.

Had 3 crashes to date. 2 on road, GPZ1100 (highsided) RG500 (lowsided rear) and 1 on the track, Hornet (highsided).

Live in a part of Aus that is renowned for having great bike roads, few people and not any major traffice problems so riding is always bloody good fun.

Cheers for now.

Hi Rocket, and :welcome to the site!

I gotta admit, I'm getting impatient now for the CB. There are rumours of it popping up here and there but to actually get one on the road is still gonna take a while by the looks of it. Grrr

Anyway, it's good to have you here mate. Hopefully you'll hang around eh? :lol

G'day mate. :thumbup (Don't you just feel at home now? ;) )

If EVER there was a member of this site that needed to post photos I'd guess it's you so far Rocket.I love Oz and New Zealand but never made it across to Tasmania.I,among others I'm sure, would love to see the occasional photo journal of one of your days out on the 'bike.

I'm Steve ,English living in Belgium.Currently on a Hornet 900 myself and skint so it'll stay that way for some time I guess.Love the look of the CB Thou but still need to see it in the flesh.

Welcome and keep in touch. :smoke

Thanks for the welcome.

If I get some good pic's I'll definately post them up. The Hornet is looking a bit bruised after highsiding it so it doesn't really warrant any decent photo's.

My main riding mate (with modified FZ1-N 147.6 rear wheel HP) sometimes does on board video footage. If he has anything good I'll let you know.

Oh I should also mention for everyone to check out Tasmania (island off the south east of Australia) on Google Earth.

Check out the road networks if you can. You will see why people who live here (population under 500,000) are spoilt with a abundance of great roads.

Hoards of mainlanders come over every year just to ride around our windy roads.

BTW - I know most of you are a long way away :banghead but if you did happen to be around here in April a group of us are doing a lap of the state taking in all the best roads over 3 days. All :welcome to tag along....
