Re: 4 K SERVICE COST.

Are the sparking plugs on this CB1R easy to get to? Just tank off job done?

I saw how much the plugs are at full retail today, ouch! Thank god for trade discount is all I can say :banghead

Plugs should be be easier to change on this than the SV, that was bloody awkward getting the plug out at the rear cylinder.
Yeah and much easier than the Fireblade for example where you have an hour taking off all the bodywork for starters.
But they're Iridium plugs anyway and good for around 16,000 miles - most will have changed bikes before plugs. :D

Re: 4 K SERVICE COST.

I'd never leave a plug in that long lol, I normally change between 8-10k, depends on what the plug looks like :)

Super tank off, easy peasy, makes my life much more simpler. I must say I am looking forward to servicing this bike :D

SV was done every 2.5k (Oil and filter)

She was a well cared for machine, and I spent a fortune on her!

I think that's good, part of the enjoyment of owning a nice bike is looking after it well.
Wait until the modification bug bites with your 1000R, you may need a second job. :D

It's also good learning new things :D

Haha yeah I think i'll need a never ending bank fund. Saying that as I already mentioned to someone else earlier, i'll be applying for my instructors license next year, so that will be 1000R funding money

You must be a decent rider if you plan to be an instructor Tamz. :respekt

And I like your enthusiasm too, this bike seems to do that to you and I always manage to justify spending a bit more on it. :D

Re: 4 K SERVICE COST.

I'd have loved to have been a bike instructor. My instructor (the wife's uncle) is at retirement age and is thinking about packing in. I wish I could've taken the business off of him but a) I'm just not that good and b) the market (around here at least) is fading with the new tests

Re: 4 K SERVICE COST.

I like to think i'm a very competant rider, and good at what I do. My Dad tought me everything I know, and he said a little while ago that it won't be long before i'm better than he is, both on the track and as an instructor.

I hope so. I just know with my age and stuff it will be really hard to get the respect and for people/students to take me seriously

plus any other parts required.

Also to replace the rear tyre whilst in for service;
