Anyone else feel the quake tonight/this morning? Happened around 12:55 ish and I know people who live 20 miles either side of me at least and they all felt it too. Second time in a few years that's happened, and both times really early in the morning

I was a sleep and slept through it. Did it wake you up?
The British Geological Survey (BGS) said it had magnitude of 5.3 which is not a "biggie" as far as earthquakes go and the epicentre was near Market Rasen in Lincolnshire.

I hear that earthquakes are often followed by a tsunami!

Do you think there is any chance of that happening?

Ha ha, probably not now, no. Last I heard (last night/this morning) was that it was about a 4.7 and the epicentre was about 15miles NE of Lincoln which I worked out to be around Market Rasen. If you remember back in 2002 there was one in Dudley which they said was a 4.8, but then revised it later. I guess they've done that already.

I was already up and about but the Mrs was in bed and was scared shitless. She didn't go back to sleep for ages
