If you've found this forum prior to the CB1000R launch, chances are that you're seriously considering buying the bike or waiting to see what others think of it first.

Either way, this is the place to tell others a bit about yourself, where you're from, how long you've been riding, what you're currently riding and why you're thinking of changing your bike for the CB, or anything else you want to share with us (naked pics of the missus/girlfriend are welcome  )

OK - takin a dump here here. I think you all know who I am.

Figured on a slight name change. Still the same intelligent brand of wit and sarcasm though.

Alright people. Just popped over from the Nest to check out the new site. Got to say that the Thou has got me interested and I might very well be purchasing one next year.

Hopefully this site will be the place to get info on the bike itself and the bits and bobs to modify it.

About me:

Can Be Arsed - riding my bike, meeting up, rideouts, discoporn and low budget films
Can't be Arsed - slagging off people, pissing competitions, long-winded personal vendettas when a simple 'f.u.' will do

Still riding the modded white Hornet that Triumph copied for their Street Triple (sans les bug eye lights) and still whipping the summer sportsbike riders around the south!

Hi Nick and :welcome , it's good to have you here.

As you no doubt know, many of us rate the 600 Hornet very highly, but it is technically a very old bike now and as much as I love mine I do feel the need for a bit more torque, and the CB1000R is just such a sweet looking bike!

Maybe you'll come along and try the bike out with us? We're hoping to arrange a day where we can get one or two demo bikes when they finally make it into the country.

Anyway, :welcome again!

That was mildly amusing, but you may have forgotten 'sensationalism' in your list.

Nevermind, welcome. ;)

Nick, I am surprised (why should I be?) but VERY pleased to see you here. I can assure that the air is well and truly clear as far as this site is concerned - therefore you are very :welcome

Back to the bike.... as you know, details on the bike are still very limited but we are doing our best to trawl the net and speak to the right people that are in the know. Whatever we find out will be posted on here first and we'd appreciate it if you could do the same (if you pick up anything during your travels).

Hopefully catch you sometime during 2008.

(I trust the little'un is well also) :thumbup
