Crispy's 2018 CB1000R "The Anvil"- Plans, mods, pics, trips, tracks and stuff

Hi! I've had my CB1000R, "The Anvil" as it was recently nicknamed at a recent Donington Park track day, for a few weeks now and I'm loving it. There's definitely a few places I've got plans for and a couple of bits I've already played with.

Hopefully some of this is useful :D

First on the list was tail tidy. After a few trials this is about as minimal as I could make it look whilst keeping a decent amount of support for the plate:

It's now been powder coated and works a treat:

Stable and easily removable for track days

Also fitted the Akrapovic Road slip on. Closest to the original design for the EICMA concept bike which I love:

I think this may be the answer! Don't want a full straight through set of headers but these with a longer length and resonance chamber might be the happy medium between FULL headers and STOCK headers with a CAT

Bit the bullet and ordered the Akrapovic Optional Header (SS) E-H10R7. Can't wait to get the bike over to DynoJet for PC developement with the full system.

The headers make a great improvement to the overall lines and silhouette of the bike

Whilst I patiently wait for my Akrapovic headers to arrive I thought I'd add some adjustable levers:

...and some custom number board decals for the small aluminium side panels. Kept them super simple and in a style that matches the overall look of the bike:

Finally got these little numbers through. Should help the CB1000R breath a little more freely.

Dropping the bike, stock pipes and end can and the Akrapovic system off to Dynojet on Thursday for them to do their Powercommander magic
