Just been looking at BKS leathers. Never heard of them before James Toseland started wearing them in MotoGP.

Just seen this one piece suit for £599.99 on their site. Seemed like a good price and a nice looking suit too.

Anyone know anything of BKS and have any opinions?

I personally wouldn't pay £600 for leathers but then thats because I am too tight!! :lol

In that price range you'll be comparing against AlpineStars, Arlen Ness, Dianese, Spyke etc. etc... personally I would go to your nearest Heing Gericke and look at their one piece suits which in my opinion look just as good and are built to last.

I have £379 Hein Gericke two piece leathers, bought in 2003 and going strong despite little care (one zip pull did snap but I fixed this with a paper clip!)

I was just reading an artikel about Daemen leathers in the Netherlands. they make personal racesuit's. they say it's not sure that the driver on TV realy has an mark X suit on. they ( Damen lethers) make suits for top drivers with an other mark on it because not al manufacturers make custom suits...

Dan, we all know about you and being tight! £599.99 makes a one piece cheaper than most other brands in use by GP riders doesn't it? I remember seeing an advert for some lovely Arlen Ness leathers for £799.99 not long back and you're talking the same price for Dainese suits etc. I assume the fact that JT uses them makes them not bad.

These some Arlen Ness ones that look almost identical for £599 on the HG website... suppose it probably comes down to style etc...

Have you spoken to Dobles yet?.... I'm thinking delivery day and 40% off comprende? :)

What, for leathers? I'm not thinking of buying them, but I am going to get a new Dainese jacket and I fancy some riding jeans too, but I was gonna start a dedicated thread about which is best, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

BKS leathers have been around for years and they are a quality product, imho at least the equal of anything Dainese or Alpinestars knock out. I had a set of Alpinestars leathers and they were no better than the Furygan leathers I have now.
I also had a nice Dainese jacket that I flogged to one of Dans mates. So speaking from a position of some knowledge I can say that, while the days when I paid a load of money for leathers have gone, if you're in the market you won't be disappointed with BKS.
