A few years ago I had a 09 model and bought and used a abba superbike stand kit..I now have a 15 model and managed to find this in my shed. When I try to fit the side with the rubber fitting seems to be to big. Is this because the frame is painted..if so is there anything I can do or do I need a new kit as they all seem to fall in same bracket in the choice option in website

It could be the paint. I have the same stand for mine, although its a 2012 so no painted frame but the rubber mount sometimes feels too big so I stick a bit of WD 40 on it and it does the trick.

My Abba stand fitting is a little on the snug side too. A few good wiggles and it's in. No one likes a sloppy hole. The tighter the better or you're an unhappy chappie in a world of hurt if it pops out.

I spoke to ABBA today and they did do a slightly smaller diameter version for painted frames.. unfortunately none in stock for a couple of months but he did say I can use it without the rubber bung as that's how the first ones went out and it's only there to hold in place while fitting to make it less awkward...so I presume once all tightened up it should be fine... they did also say to keep in touch and should get one sent out
