BigOne, do you actually track the Road 5s? You're fast... don't you get creeped out by the 'creep' that you get with siped tires in harder, higher speed corners? I certainly notice it, and it tightens my sphincter and causes my right wrist to rotate forwards...
My Road 5s after about 2500 - 3000 miles. This is them right after doing 40-50 laps of Laguna Seca, running in the faster end of B group, lap times at 1:55. Note that these are already way beyond the mileage I got from the S21 and they look practically brand new. Still loads and loads of tread left.

no issues with straight line traction/braking?

the massive sipes look weird :p but.. much better tyre than Angel GT2?
Zero issues with traction. Well, unless you count the ABS.

I've never used Angel GT/GT2 so I have no opinion. All I can say is that in my experience the Road 5 is a fantastic all-around tyre with striking longevity.
