Do you guys use the honda spanner or an aftermarket kind for single sided swing arm chain adjustment? The honda one with handle is almost $50, which I find insane. Anyone use a good non oem that's priced reasonable. I found a whole set for $25 but am unsure if they will fit. Is spanner size universal?

fault this personally but I’m on the other side of the ‘Pond’
Thanks for posting this CannonBallRun. With my 2010 Honda I found the C spanner in the tool kit was just about okay for adjusting the chain. It was hopeless for adjusting the rear preload, so I bought an Ohlins spanner for that. It works great. Strangely the Ohlin spanner is hopeless in adjusting the chain. After seeing this post, I have just ordered this same C spanner from the same guy on Ebay. Hopefully this C spanner will make the chain adjusting even easier.

So it seems the rc30 and the 2019 use the same part number for the chain adjuster tool. So I assume that getting a cheaper rc30 tool will work for the 2018-2020 generation.
