if real, it's definitely the computer, since it now controls throttle, fuel and timing.
as per graph above, near WOT on both 2 and 3, Torque should be similar-ish (sure, it's a vague graph, but from Honda..)
is very unlikely to be throttle butterfly position.
Apri11's post shows stock AFR stays stoich (mid 14's( until about 7000rpm, when it moves down to what is traditionally "rich for power".
the Rapid bike stays low 13's until 9000rpm, when it meets up with the stock AFR.
that's only WOT AFR, and what it does just off WOT could be interesting (likely lean a bit) but... they run good on stoich, and AFR doesn't need to be super precise
is more likely timing, (as mentioned before), where WOT pulls timing back a little..
then again... it could even be your fuel.. (but timing related)
it is possible... that with a higher octane fuel (that needs more timing to get the most push), the ECU's timing at WOT may not be enough... but just off WOT, with a bit more timing, the engine responds better...
says it only needs 91 octane (here), but it does feel a bit different with 91, 95 or 98.. (98 feels softer, 95 better.. 91 a bit rough... cos 91 here is a bit shit)

so you're saying.. Honda doesn't want to kill its customers.. so they put maximum torque output slightly less than full open throttle....
and yet, the button at the front of your left grip gives you fast and easy access to turning traction control completely off, so you can power wheelie in first, second and maybe third gear.
(have you ever used that button Colvert? try pushing that button on your NSC and see what happens)
and the NSC accelerates faster to 130km/hr than their CBR superbike.....
your logic doesn't have logic in any way shape or form.

How many members on this forum do you reckon can power wheelie ???
I get what you are saying though. Anybody who buys the latest Hondas can do wheelies right from the first time they ride the bike.
Superbike ??? do you mean the 170 bhp Fireblade ???---This guy only wheelies when he wins.---
I might be wrong but maybe, just maybe your wear your under pants outside your trousers.-------

paragraph 3:
"Torque is up 5% through the middle of the rev range, and thanks to the 4% shorter gearing, the CB1000R accelerates faster than the CBR1000RR; in the first three gears, up to 80mph, it’s claimed to out-drag the supersport machine!"
piling the mileage on...
