    Quickshifter hooks when shift down.

My Quickshifter gets stuck a lot when I switch down.
The lever can only be shifted down with a lot of force and then it jerks violently.

There are no problems when switching up.

Is there any way to test the correct function? Or adjust it?

what revs are you shifting at? which gears?

2-1 is notalways great.. all other gears should be silky.

is the quickshifter activated in the dash??

Hmmmmm....that doesn’t sound right for the CB quickshifter and blipper. As OC says check it’s activated. Sounds like the ignition kill and rev-matching isn’t correct on the down shift

Not rev-matching. ????-------------That's going to end up putting ten years wear on the gearbox in no time.--

If it were mine I'd be taking it to the dealership asap. Doing lovely traditional clutched in and out shifts

if you search to downshift too fast or more than 1 gear sometimes semms to act like that . Honda decide to set it like that for some reasons.

It´s activated , as otherwise also the upshift will not work , may you are trying to blip on too low range.

    Are you fully releasing throttle?

Downshifts are only supposed to be done with the revs at tickover, ie off the throttle.

You shouldn't be downshifting with revs at 3 to 4000 rpm.

Conversely upshifts are supposed to be done, and are therefore much smoother at higher revs.

If I decide I need an upshift when just riding along normally I increase the revs for an instant before doing the shift to make things much smoother, as soon as the shift is done I ease of the throttle so as to not increase my road speed by very much.
I suppose I could just use the clutch for the upshift and not have to increase revs to help the quickshifter do a smoother change but I'm too lazy.
