aaah, Mount Hamilton. if you like it tight and narrow, this is your road! no high speed frikkin sweepers here! despite living 1600 kms (one thousand miles) away, I've ridden that wonderful road more than a couple times, including once with the local master, the aforesaid Monsieur BigOne. ( that time wasn't so good - plenty of fog up high...) but if road envy is allowed ( and it is) I ENVY BigOne over his placement of habitation!
    piling the mileage on...

The fog certainly made it interesting 8-)

And I think fortuitous is the appropriate word for my choice of location :-)

    When are you coming back?

Tank ring is Givi BF30. Bit tight with the ignition switch but worked really well, no obstruction with handlebar lock

I have that mount, because it fits the 08-17 model (and my 1994 CB1000F, and my 2012 CBR1000RR). It doesn't fit my 18-NSC.

DID YOU MODIFY IT TO MAKE IT FIT?

This is the one Givi sells for 2018 and yuck

This says for CBR1000RR. It shows the filler cap for CBR1000RR.

The filler cap on my CBR1000RR, the 1st gen CB1000R and my CB1000F all have 7 screw holes.

My 2nd gen CB1000R has 5 screw holes. The cap is a different size and the holes are different spacing between 2008-2017 model and 2018 model.

So I don't understand how this fits your bike. I have 2 and they don't fit the 2018 model.

Yeah that's why I asked, because it doesn't look like that mount from where the bag is sitting. And the picture posted is definitely not BF38

I tried the BF38 but it looked bad. I searched the CB1000R NSC part list for the the part number of the filler cap then found that the new CB650 and CBR1000RR had the same part number for the filler cap. Givi website said the BF30 fits those bikes so that's what I got and as the photo shows if fits fine. The BF30 kit comes with two sets of bolts for the 650 and 1000, can't remember which I used. Hope that helps.
