    Dream Machine

Lets see if anyone else know of or has had problems !!

I got my CB1k last May from a well known Honda dealership in Manchester, I brought it with the Repsol paint job already done, I didnt realise till i first cleaned it how poor the paintwork was, it was very thin, in places like between the rear wheel spokes there was no paint at all !!!

This all came to a head a couple of weeks ago, paint started flacking off on the back wheel, I also had loads of what appeared to be stone chils all over the bike, it was at this point I phoned the dealer to see what could be done.

Apparently Dream machine has been having a few problems, Honda where fantastic, they have agreed to my bike being sent back to be repainted properly and have loaned me a CBF1000 (brand new 60 plate) for the period (about two weeks) while my bike is away.

I am curious now to see if anyone else has heard of or experienced simular problems.

Not impressed with my HRC, chips very easily everywhere, dreading having a new tyre fitted too! Lets the Honda side down.

I had similar probs with my pee green CB paint job (2009), Front mudguard showing primer around the fork curve and a blemish on petrol tank, Honda sorted it out though straight away, Not what you expect from a new bike.

    Re: Dream Machine

Thanks for the replies folks, update, bike STILL with dream machine im told it will be ready this weekend, some very mixed reports on here regarding dream machine, in my view if your bike is less than two years old and if the dealer sold you the bike with the job already done, you are entitled to complain and for them to get it sorted, these bikes aint cheap, and a poor paint job is not acceptable, just my view, of course it biased

    Re: Dream Machine

Got my repsol from same place ,but i had read on the forums before i bought a cb1000 that they are all prone to stone chips .(even genuine honda paint)
so first thing i did when i bought the bike was to fit ventureshield , 5500 miles later and all is well.
