    Honda Undertray

Any one fitted the honda undertray to their CB fitted
with the R&G tail tidy.Looked at it to day and think i may have to remove my R&G to fit it.
Not sure if any triming might be needed aswell.Any pics would be helpfull.

See "Undertray" posts in Modification, it covers this topic with some photos.

The Honda undertray fits fine with the R&G and you shouldn't need to remove the tail tidy to fit the undertray because it's in 2 pieces, although you might need to slacken off the fixings

It is a genuine Honda accessory, of course it's outrageous!

    Re: Honda Undertray

I did mine yesterday as I'd been putting it off for weeks, horrible job.

I left the R&G tidy in place and it was a right ball ache. After cleaning the area where it goes and then priming it with the 3M pad I tried to wiggle the undertray in place but as soon as the sticky strips on the undertray hit the plastic it set like cement and it wasn't anywhere near central

I should've thought on but somehow I thought it would be ok to do (famous last words). I then had to get a flat chisel and try and wedge the undertray back off the plastice underside of the bike whilst holding the other side to stop that from sticking with my other hand. I think I used my mouth at one point as well.

As soon as I got one part unstuck another bit would touch and be stuck solid. Some how I got it all free and it moved into place and stuck solid again. I was about to rip it all off in a mood when I realised it was all lined up prefectly. Pure luck.

I had to drill the holes at an angle but the plastic rivets all seated correctly and jobs a good'un

My advice would be take the tail tidy off unless you're a sadist

WARNING... IN CASE YOU DONT SPOT THIS IN THE OTHER THREAD:

BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU DRILL THE HOLES FOR THE UNDERTRAY, THERE ARE ALL SORTS OF WIRES ETC ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE PLASTIC SO NO DEEPER THAN NEEDED.

    Re: Honda Undertray

Dobles are fitting mine on Saturday. If they cock it up, they can fix it. Apparently its all done with double sided tape and a few plastic pegs. Not too sure though. I just had visions of drilling up through something that I shouldn't have.
