I'm not expert, but I've always lived by this philosophy when modifying motorcycles: Just an exhaust, especially a slip on, I don't do anything fueling wise. If I do an exhaust AND a freer flowing intake or filter, then I add a fuel controller as well. Am I right in my thinking? Don't know, but I haven't blown up a motorcycle yet haha.
Current wisdom seems to suggest that anything more 'free flowing' in the air filter department means "lets more dirt into the engine and leads to faster wear".
Something worth noting on the Dynojet thread is that there was no bhp difference between oem and after-market air filters - a clean fresh oem is good enough it seems !
