    Undertray Kit

got one of these for my Silver Cb1.
The instruction insist on cleaning the rear mudguard with an alcohol based cleaner befor sticking the undertray on.

Do they mean meths or white spirit or something a little more clever?

I received my undertray kit today and was thinking the same. I'm not sure how you ask for an alcohol based cleaner in Spanish.

    Would petrol do the trick?

Re the undertray, I'm not sure the colour of it matches the white bike very well so I'm toying with the idea of spraying it matt black

My undertray kit came with a small sachet of cleaning agent. Fitting it was a doddle and took about 10 mins. I predrilled the holes with a Dremel before using the fullsize drill. I personally think it looks fine on the white bike, for the most part it's shadowed anyhow.

Hi Hass, I've seen your pics of that before and it does look nice but I have a Rosscromo hugger ordered and I have a feeling they might clash a little. I'll wait and see anyway.

Also try Spectacle lens wipes they are Alcohol based and dont leave any residue, easy to find in any shop and cheap too. DO NOT use white spirit or petrol, they will leave residue that may effect adhesion!
