    Rear Shock Socket Size

Evening everyone, hope you're all enjoying your bank holiday weekend, in the UK anyway.

I need to get thge rear shock off but for the life of me I can't find the correct socket size. I thought it was a 17mm it seems not so. I've tried everything from a 14mm to a 20mm and nothing seems to fit. Anyone able to point this noob in the right direction?

    Cheers

    P.S this is for a 2011 CB1000R

    a 10mm nut ought to have a 16mm 'width' ( i.e., socket size), I think...
