    Clutch Pushrod seal failing

so looks like the seal on the clutch pushrod is failing, as there is a tiny leak.
to be fair at 52,000+ miles its not really surprising.

apparently they are a pain in the arse to change - splitting the engine case. so the mechanic is going to turn it around and that might sort it our short term.

    will report back

panagiotis, I'm not mechanical enough to know if this advice is right or wrong, but examining the service manual and the parts fiche does not show any such thing as a 'clutch pushrod seal'. see attached...

it does seem to be correct that one has to remove pretty much everything to do with the clutch to 'get at' the 'seal' end of the "lifter rod", but the lifter rod itself is quickly accessed - see page 9-18.

so, to me it doesn't look like there is anything to "turn around". somebody like Ghost or DELuth can undoubtedly provide more educated information...
    piling the mileage on...
