For those who donít have a paddock stand

A simple way to lift the rear wheel for those who donít have a paddock stand:

    1) Prepare two wooden chocks approximately 10x10cms at the base, one 25cms high and the other 15cms high.

    2) With the side stand extended, raise the bike horizontally; place the 25cms chock under the swinging arm and lower the bike on it as shown on the picture below. Notice that the side stand will be a few centimetres off the ground.

    3) Apply a small pressure to tilt the bike on the left until the side stand touches the ground and place the 15cms chock under the exhaust as shown on the picture below. For those without the stock exhaust, adjust the hight and the placement of the 15cms chock accordingly.

Voila!,,, repairs will cost lots more than a stand when it topples over!!

Nice idea but I would not be confident with it.. r

Why would you fork out seven and a half grand for a bike and then prop it up on blocks of wood? A cheap stand is what, fifty quid.

I must admit that I wouldn't be comfortable doing that myself.

Have you seen the Honda one?
