    How to change oil ?

    Hi guys,

I've always worked on my cars but have little to no experience on working on bikes. I changed my exhaust over which was fine but I would like to start doing more on the bike and since my bike has been stood for 3 months in the garage when I started it last week I noticed the oil was very black. So I was going to drop the oil and give it a fresh batch.

I would appreciate if anyone has a walk though or tips that I can follow. Am I right in thinking I will require a tool to tighten the oil, filter back on or do people tighten this by hand. Also can anyone recommend what type of oil to use along with a place to buy the oil and filter.

    Any help appreciated guys.

It's much easier on a bike. There are detailed videos on YouTube. I get the OEM filter and Crush washer from bike bandit. Available on Amazon and Ebay as well. I get the oil from dealer. I use Honda's brand. I hand tighten my filters, but I guess many others use a torque wrench.

Thanks guys, much appreciated. Am I best sticking with oil from the dealers then or is it available elsewhere cheaper.
