i would check battery first to see if its charging properly and the current voltage.
might also be worth checking the coolant.
I have started to get starting issues, when the bike is warm.
I have taken the bike for fuel, payed, got back on to bike and when you turn the key in the ignition and press the engine start button it would struggle to kick over to such a degree I have to wait 20min for it to cool down then it will be ok to turn over,
Its fine first thing in he morning, also fine after a day's work.
So only when warm/hot
How many miles are on your bike mate? I would try changing the sparkplugs 1st.
Coolant levels are at the correct level, battery has been attached to a conditioner unit and all green lights, spark plugs changed last April when I picked up bike, I had the garage service it, break pads, oil filter, spark plugs, all levels. As to mileage 5200.
Tbh mate, I doubt the dealer would change the plugs servicing a bike with only 5k miles on it, unless u specifically asked them to do it. I would replace them 1st if I was in your position.
Will it run at all when it is hot? Are u still under your warranty period?
Warranty no, just outside term. I feel it's odd only when hot issues show its self
Have you tried bump starting it when it's warm??? Just to rule out no power getting to plugs when warm?
when you say struggles do you mean it turns over slowly or do you mean it turns over at normal speed but doesn't fire up.
I use to have exactly the same problem with mine and it would coincide with having had the bike on an Optimate charger over the weekend, stopped using the Optimate and haven't had the problem since.
On the subject of colour, we often do jest
"It's black", "No it's white", "No it's red that looks best",
But deep down inside we know that it's grey
Unless you actually enjoy looking gay
