Setting the time. - And remember it?

    Hi guys.
I have a clock-dash failure on my bike. I'm hoping some of you can help me.

When i'm setting the time on my bike, everything is fine.
When i'm turnings off the ignition, and waits for a while, and then turning the ignition on again, the time says "1.00". Even though I have just set the time, and haven't started the engine yet.

I was thinking a weak battery, so the low current in the start-up moment would reset the clock.
    - But it do also reset when i'm not turning the engine over.

I'm hoping you guys have some ideas.

Hi mate, I am pretty sure you need a permanent live to the clocks in order to retain the correct time.

Its worth checking fuses and for a permanent live at the clock connector. If that checks out ok its probably a faulty clock unfortunately

    Good luck!!

I thought there was one more button to press after you have set the time to confirm it and lock it into the system. Will have a look in the manual tomorrow. Too late today.

You are definitely loosing power to the clocks, the manual says, "if u remove battery the clock will return to 1:00"

Colvert, to complete the setting operation, either press both buttons together for longer than 2 seconds, or turn off ignition.

    Thats just Strange.

I tried again today. It remembered the time when i turned of the ignition, and on again.
Afterwards I waited 20 sek. Or so with the ignition off. - And then it was showing "1.00" again.
