    trip to a&e ouch!

    last night was bringin my two horses in and some nutter on a quad with open pipes flew past and startled them ,next thing i can remember was waking up proper seeing stars blood pumping from my face front tooth removed and imbedded in my bottom lip! had been kicked square in the jaw(felt like id been hit by mike tyson) so 20ml trip to nearest a&e to find my jaw is split in the middle and fractured on left joint ,be eatin through a straw for weeks now wont be gettin my helmet on for a while me thinks,if he comes on my land again he'll be gettin a scaf pole round his noggin the twat

    Sorry to hear that m8. I broke my jaw 20 years ago, hit the crossbar on a mx bike. Hope u dont need to have your jaw wired shut for 8 weeks like i did, which was a nightmare!! do they put a metal plate in there now days? Get well soon

    got to go back next week to see the specialist once the swelling gone down to see how stable it is,jeez i just hope not

    Sorry to hear that mate, I've spent half my life around horses but I've been lucky with kicks/falls etc. Hope you get sorted and here's to a speedy recovery!

    BTW, did you mean to put that "stable" pun in, I thought it was a yoke and had to rein meself in before I got hoarse.. If it wasn't then sorry to have saddled you with this.

    Sorry to hear that mate....Certainly lucky they didn't have shoes on, although kick had still some impact behind it. Think lesson is from this, don't be behind them in the future....

    Your 1 lucky cookie GR7, 1 of our sons classroom mates was killed with a kick from his horse.
    His mum use to go on and on about him taking care when on his dirt bike, she never batted an eye lid about him going on the horse.

    I expect he was up front, but you'd be surprised how quick a horse can spin round on you when spooked, and they can kick out at some extreme angles too..
