    1st service

How much over the 600 miles can I go without creating a warranty issue?
The bike is currently at 690 miles, the service is booked but not for another 7 days - which means missing a rare dry weekend

If I were you, I would try not to add much more miles to it, since the first oil is mineral and the 600 miles service is just to replace it, after the run in for a better quality oil.
But try to speak with the dealer and ask about it.
I wont go over that mileage without replace the oil for a good 100% synthetic oil.

Sorry, i think you are posting in the wrong section. There WILL be recall issues !!!! In the intrest of your warranty do no do any more miles, I have no problems ,my first service approx 750 mls and everything fine, use good fuel, but there are major niggles, ask admin of this very helpfull board!

    Re: 1st service

There is already one issue which should either have been sorted out by the time you picked up your bike, or for any that got out before it was sorted on the 1st service, one of the screw tops on either the brake or clutch had wrong thread pitch and could in time become loose. I was adviced there shouldn't be any out there as they should have been replaced before being picked up, but dealers are to check on first service to ensure.

Will depend on the dealer but generally if the bike has done under 1000 miles (and is less than 6 months old) there will be no problems with the warranty.
