317 miles......4 bikes. One got lost :notme , one quit 'cos of the cold.
Change of plan for next week....the quickest way to Cirencester as possible and the A429 to the meet.
Mrs T , local chaps are willing to put up yer camper van in their driveway.......but I think it will be impossible to return BACK to Hullavington.
There's a go-cart track , sign that says Bar and Snacks, gliders and loads of happy fields of pigs.
Do not deviate to minor roads , (that aint no way to treat a new BT021 :cry ) , wear all the clothes ya can find/own and then maybe yer Mum's as well :rolleyes1 , freeezzing, and the darkest visor ya have to wear as depending on which way you are arriving/leaving , the low level sun will blind U. ( carry a clear one too)
.....and be ready for ton up filtering on the M4 going home/jail.

re that £40, well first up I reckon well done you! As for send it / bring it, dunno, might be easier to send it, as I guess they will be a tad busy on the day.....

that go-karting place... it also does mini-motoing. A group of about 40 of us went about a year ago. Only two broken bones in the group, pluys one injured hand and my bloke had a bruise that was well ugly. About five of us were sat in Frenchay casualty swapping stories and entertaining the public by the end of the night... (I wasn't hurt I just took the mate with the broken arm in, six months it took before she could get back on a bike!)

Thanks 4 the offer of parking the van up. We will be doing brekkie in spoonies in devizes me thinks and then leaving the van there and biking to and from, back to load the little ones back in the van, pint of shandy and warm drive home.
I think that should be a sensible distance from traffic flows. :D

Membury Services ( west bound ) M4, J14/15....being refurbished, bugger all pumps....the rest are fenced in/dug up.
Bridge over J15 usually has a speedie van !!!
Did I mention the cold ? The whole of the M4 corridor/Wiltshire is generally flat......wind chill.
Some of you may not ride most days or weekends or this like we did on Sunday :

...but work on this : no matter what the forecast says, 4° forecast = 0° max on M4.

And Miss Fliss, one of the local band lads in civvies blasted 2 cheerfull numbers on his horn ( musical instrument :rolleyes1 ) , just when all and sundry were nice and suitably tired...as in tired as a newt ( i.e. pissed ).
His final tune , a real lump in the throat tearjerker Last Post, made the third and final count £100.

Dont know if this will affect anyone - the A420 (between Oxford - Swindon) will be closed all day 14th March from the Acorn Bridges up to Gable Cross Police Station. Basically from the Shrivenham turning up to the A419. Thus if you want to get to the A419 from Oxford you will have to follow the detours or find your own route.
Wish I could be with you guys - but familly takes precedence (I have been told) :(
Hope you all have a great ride out and :respekt to you all. Cant imagine what 10,000 bikes will look like streaming through Wootton Bassett - sure I will get some idea from the news.

for those of you in the Bristol area, Bloke is being interviewed about 8.00 tomorrow (Saturday) on Radio Bristol about it.

Apparently there is more than one 8.00 in the day and this is the one before midday, which seems to me like an indecently early time to wake up on a Saturday, but oh well!
