Post Re: Tyres
got the standard 015's on at moment, done a 1500 mile tour in mostly rain without problem and another 2000 scratching, no real problems or issues other than the rear spun up when i tried to loft a wheelie couple weeks ago (cold tyres and cold road i reckon) but that was me being daft, i'd defo put them on again if i didnt have 3 sets race scrubs to go on waiting in the shed!

Post Re: Tyres
Well, I can report back as very satisfied with the BT016 rear replacement. I don't ride as hard as some of you I know, but I do hit 7-8 thousand out of corners with tight radiii and no dramas encountered so far. That said, the BT015 rear did indeed give me a similar feeling.

In the wet the story seems to be good, I can only say my wife was slipping over surfaces I didn't even budge on... very confidence inspiring in the wet.

I'll put a front one on soon.

Post BT-023'S
After much thought and confusion have decided to go with BT-023's.

Popped into a tyre place in Bridgwater on Sunday who is going big on bike tyres..Got some nice displays and has only just got the 23's in stock. The guy who was there used to run a place in Weston which also did bike tyres (had a few fitted there) good bloke and very into his trails..... Printed off lit for the tyres and knew his stuff.

Everything about them seems to fit what I want. Triple compound rear, harder centre and the front is more sport profile than the 21's they are replaceing. Looking at the tyres the profiles look good.

On about 3.5K on the original 15's and so far no gripes about them other than the rear is very flat in middle...... Did Minehead on Sunday and will say the 015's flow into the bends nicely.

Have been monitoring the forums and debates on the tyres and decided to go with these as they might actually do what I want with the way I ride. Getting fitted on Wen... Fingers crossed...

Fed up of when I manage to keep a bike long enough the tyres actually wear out.....

What you doing up at this time... Thought you would have been tucked in by now.. :twofin

Been putting off changing the tyres for ages. The bumf for the 023's sounds like the tyre companys are making a more all round tyre with all the best bits.. Only way to find out is to get them.
