 Re: GPS Mounting Position
Did you replace the bolts on the tank for longer ones and use washers as spacers to reduce the compression on the rubber?

Tank filler set up...too far down to see , despite extended arm but , like me , will mount anything. I'll post me set ups on bikes tomorrow. That version between headstock and tank makes me feel a bit queasy

Have to do a wheelie everytime you need to look at the GPS Would only be good if you get a bluetooth setup

 Re: GPS Mounting Position
Can anyone tell me with a Garmin 660 or other, if they are plumbed in to the bike for good (electrically/wiring wise) or is the whole mount always removable/unpluggable?
cheers

 Re: GPS Mounting Position
The cradle that holds the Garmin GPS unit is wired permanently to the bike, and the cradle is supposed to stay on the bike.
You can cut the wires, and put a waterproof plug and socket in to make the whole thing removable if you want to. (It's only two wires).
Or there is the option of mounting the whole lot on a tankbag so that it's removable.
