Post Had my CB dyno'd
With all the controversy over fitting an Ixil and losing power I thought I'd post up that I managed to get 119BHP (110 std) and gained 3ft/lb Torque with PC3,
Ixil can (baffle chopped off) and an Arrow decat acheived near perfect fuelling. The Dyno man thinks he could squeeze another 4-5BHP if I wanted max peak power. He did mutter something about it being 'Feckin loud' with a cheesy grin on his face.
Not bad for cheapie can eh? :)
Not as good as high end cans I know but I'm pleased with it :)

What annoys me about the Ixil is that you have to go Blue-Peter on it in order to not lose power. That's just wrong in my book.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but at least it doesn't cost £500 and hit the ground on right handers - Laser Xtreme anyone?

I agree. I think they could make the baffle removable like most bikes these days.

I still think I could tempt myself to an Ixil. Did anyone see the lazer extreme on fleabay over the weekend? I dont think it sold, too much bad press on here perhaps? Do we know who was selling it ?

But the biggest part of that increase is the de-cat, mine shows over 120 (can't remember the exact figure and I'm not at home) with a de-cat but the rest of the system standard and that went up only slightly with the PC-V (It gave benefits elsehere though). The difference between our figures could be down to different dynos or different bikes or it could be that your de-cat gained you some power and then your pipe lost you some. In other words you may have seen a higher figure without the IXIL
