Hoping to own a cb1000r soon

Hi all, I am test riding a v nice cb1000r this Sat so if it is right I will get it bought. I currently have a Suzuki TLS and a KTM adventure 990 s. I am selling the KTM to get the Honda as for me they are a more enjoyable ride for my type of riding. Will get some picture up once I get one and also see if a ride can be sorted to meet others on here. I am based near Leyburn north Yorkshire but will be moving near Darlington within a couple of months.

Cheers richy, looking forward to the test ride for sure. Once I have it I will be getting out as often as I can as I have a charity John o groats to lands end ride I am organising at the end of Aug. I originally got the KTM to do it on but the wind noise is terrible and I don't have time to mess about with different screens etc so she has to go.

I can imagine Croft being a good laugh on the cb. Used to live in Northallerton and love the Darlo back road which will be a regular one for a quick blast when we move too. Seems there are quite a few owners round here which is good. Will be great to do a meet every now and then. Looking forward to riding it tomorrow morning now. Then hopefully get the KTM sold although another bike in the cave would be nice.....

I haven't lived there in a long time. I'd head off to Yorkshire or up to the border country. Lots of lovely countryside.

    In the middle ........

I'm South of you at Leeds but a regular Sunday morning run is Devils Bridge, Hawes, Thwaite, Reeth then over the rifle range road into Layburn and back through Masham and Ripon.

Can't beat having great riding roads on the door step.

Might see you out and about some time.

Yep some great roads there. I used to commute from here to the centre of Leeds every day in all weathers on an sv1000s which was fun. The road from Ripon to Masham is great. Round home way it's the feckin pheasants that keep me legal. They bloody hurt when you hit one. Also had a close call with a dear so tend to take it easy in the dales. Not been over to devils bridge yet but it's on the list. I find Hawes a bit dangle your dick type of place although it seems to have got better lately. Manor cafe was the worst for that though but it's shut now. Will see you around no doubt.

I've yet to meet someone who rides this area regularly who hasn't got a tale to tell about them - you will never meet a more stupid bird (apart from my missus).

Yeah I know exactly what you mean mate - stay safe / see you around ......
