    Hi everybody.

Upgraded from a 2005 919 to a 2014 CB1R this past December. So far I'm loving the bike. Took a bit to get used to the height difference, but now I'm working on really getting to know the ins and outs of her. I had my 9er since 2006 and put 85,000 miles on her. Numerous cross country trips and lots of local canyon rides (when I was living in San Diego). So I am looking forward to doing the same on this bike. I have a couple issues I need to search on the forums more before I start threads about them. I will say I am quite jealous of all the aftermarket stuff in Europe compared to what we have in the US for this bike.

A little about me, I grew up riding dirt bikes and got my street bike habit started when I got settled back in the states. Rain or shine I ride and haven't looked back. I am also a MSF rider coach (still a bit new at it), but I can answer whatever questions I can about that.

Grats and welcome. The 919 is what started me wanting naked bikes. I never got one, but that was when I fell in love with the style. I was riding sport bikes at the time, but when that 919 came out, I was in love. I ended up getting a Ducati Monster as my first naked instead, but I always liked that 919.

Thank you. She is still in my garage waiting to get parted out, still sad to see her go. I was planning on always having that one in my garage.

Thank you all. I have a lot of digging to go through on here. This weekend is going to be a reading frenzy for me. My first thing is trying to find a good rear hugger/fender. The skidmarx hugger looks to have some decent coverage, but it looks obnoxious. I may get it and dremel it here and there to help it look better.

Thank you and welcome to you as well. So far the one thing I'm not a fan of on the bike is having to remove the muffler to get the rear tire off. My bike came with a Yosh R-77D 3/4, but I may change it out once I'm done with everything else that needs changing.

Welcome. What issues do you have? So far my big thing is it seems like my rear brake is dragging or something is giving me quick steady pulses of resistance. I bled the rear brake and it helped a little. I am planning on getting SS brake lines soon so I'll take a closer look at it then.
