    Just bought my 1000R!

    Well I just went and purchased a new 2014, black and gold. They call it silver, but that's just silly. It's paid for. Get to pick it up in the morning. I live in North Little Rock, Arkansas. I'm 39. I'm a drafter by profession. Looking forward to putting some miles on the new bike. I currently own a 2016 Honda Metropolitan. I only work a few miles from home so the scooter makes for a fun ride to work. A few of my previous bikes include;

    2013 Honda CB1100
    2013 Honda CBR600RR
    2010 Honda GL1800 Goldmine
    2008 Honda XR650L
    2007 Honda Metropolitan

    And many others outside the Honda brand, but I am a Honda lover. I'll report back once I get some miles on the new one. Excited about the bike, but extremely disappointed with the cost of insurance. Oh well, I guess that's what happens when they are considered "sport".

    Got to ride in northern Arkansas when I was stationed at ft. Leonard wood had a 2008 1000rr then. Nice roads when they don't randomly turn to gravel. Some of MO also had sketchy pavement. I'm out of KY

    Welcome to the club! Congrats on the new bike. Gonna upload a pic later?

    I know what you mean about insurance. I pay more for the CB alone than I do for my wife's bike and both of our cars combined!

    Congrats and welcome!!
    CBR600RR is a great bike, do you feel the CB1000R being a lot less nimble and slow to react?

    Correct just leaving now to pick it up. The 600RR was a great handling bike. I'm curious how the 1000R will compare. Not to worried, I'm not an aggressive rider. I have no doubt the 1000R will exceed my performance needs.

    We are lucky in Arkansas to have some great roads to ride.

    The 600RR was a cool machine. I am looking forward to a more upright riding position,

    I've had a 2001 600 f4i. A 2005 600rr a 2007 600rr and 2007 1000rr and a 2008 1000rr. On the street the CB will keep pace or be faster than all of them. It's not till.ur over 80mph or on the track that the cb shows its weaknesses.

    Which is why it's called a STREETFIGHTER and not a TRACKFIGHTER.---
