    android TV

anyone can get themselves a smarter (if they already have a smart tv) with one of the android PC sticks.

I got one of these (rikomagic mini pc)

and connecting it to the HDMI port of my TV to give me all the android apps and more on my tv.

i can now also watch TV and Films on it by putting XBMC on it (and motogp wsbk - not live)

Hmm. Kinda cool, but mouse control for android? Does it have a better way to control it?

I use a small homebuilt windows box to stream stuff from the machine in my bedroom or internet to the tv in the living room. It sits under the tv in a cabinet. I have a wireless mouse and keyboard, but I usually just grab my android tablet and remote in with a couple screen taps. Controlling windows with a touchscreen is nice. Controlling android with a mouse sounds like swimming with handcuffs on. Not fun!

Still, it's great to have another option out there besides running a pc or gaming console, especially an ANDROID one. Thanks for sharing! I love android stuff.

It's so tiny!! Hmm, I wonder If I could remote into it from my tablet like I do with the PC. Interesting...

it can connect to other media servers.. what would you need it to connect to a tablet for? it makes your tv a tablet

if you want to control it via tablet you can do.. there are apps for that i think

The TV can't be a touch screen, I would have to get off my bum! :P

With the tv image mirrored to my tablet, the tv becomes a touch screen in my hand.

I like this android option a lot, though.

The ipazzport is a great piece of tech, but it is still just a mouse and keyboard. High tech and very cool, but still not a touch screen in my palm.

That is cool, but it still doesn't give you any more control than the ipazzport with it's little touch pad, but I guess that is as close as it gets. I'm still getting my daughter one, though, so she can stream to her room without a laptop tethered to the tv.
